Welcome to the Eastern Market 2022 New Vendor application procedure. Give thanks you for your interest in our public market place.

We are at present accepting applications for NEW VENDORS  to the public market.

Nosotros are honored to continue supporting local food, agriculture, and pocket-sized business vendors, and nosotros look forward to a good for you and successful 2022 public market season.

Please read the following data before starting the awarding process.

This application is for vendors who Exercise NOT currently sell at Eastern Market place.

Application Timeline

We will begin accepting applications on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, and will continue to have them through Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and notification of your condition will be made within 3 weeks of the application date.

Notification Method

All applicants volition be notified of the application status via their Farmspread account.

For ACCEPTED applicants, your notice of acceptance will include next steps.

For DENIED applicants, your notice of denial volition ask if you are interested in being directed to other markets looking for vendors in your production category.

Delight NOTE: we are Not accepting vendors in the post-obit categories:

a) Vendors producing under the Cottage Food Law
b) Baked goods
c) T-shirt vendors
d) Jewelry vendors
e) Caramel corn, elephant ears, cotton candy, and other "carnival" type foods
f) Whatever cannabis-oriented products

Market Get-go Dates

Vendors are accepted to specific market days, i.due east. Lord's day, Tuesday, or Sat Market, or for partial seasons or limited time opportunities. Vendor commencement dates, market mean solar day, and omnipresence duration will be communicated via the acceptance email and direct market-to-vendor communication.

HOW TO APPLY TO BE A VENDOR

1. Review the 2022 public market policies and procedures

2. Fill out the online application.

a. First, you must have a Farmspread account to utilise to Eastern Market: Get to farmspread.com, click "Register", fill out the form, and click the "Register" button.

b. Once you lot have registered, select "Create a Vendor Profile" and fill in your business data on the next page.

c. Once your vendor profile is created, utilise to sell at Eastern Market by going to this page. Click "Sell here" and then on the side by side page select "Apply to market". Fill out the application and select "Submit application" at the bottom of the folio. Y'all'll receive an email to confirm your submission!

3. Submit samples, ONLY IF REQUESTED, in person to the Eastern Market Offices at 2934 Russell St, Detroit MI 48207 By APPOINTMENT Merely.

Your application is not considered complete and will non be considered until all required documents and attachments are received.

Become a Street Performer

Note: We are not allowing street performances at this fourth dimension due to COVID-19 regulations.

We welcome street performers of all kinds to create an infectious spirit throughout our market. Performers take their opportunity to showcase their talents for thousands of visitors of all ages, ethnicities, and localities.

Rules for Street Performers

  • Street performers must exist at least 12 years old.
  • A performance group should not exceed four people unless you get written permission from Eastern Market Corporation (EMC).
  • Performers requesting additional infinite or amplification should submit a specific request for our permission.
  • All street performers must apply in person at our part at 2934 Russell Street.

Applying to be a Street Performer

  1. Consummate an application form at 2934 Russell Street and pay our i-fourth dimension registration free of $5.00 (credit card, cash, check or money order made payable to Eastern Market place Corporation).
  2. Street performer slots are assigned at the EMC office on the day of performance on a kickoff-come up, showtime-served basis for our Tuesday, Saturday, and Lord's day markets.
  3. If a performance slot is available, you will receive an approved performer badge, which y'all should bring with you whenever you perform. In that location is a $five.00 fine for performing without your badge.
